The Basque Country is crossed by an important network of marked trails. You can hike with your family or friends on local trails (marked in yellow) or long-distance paths (GR, marked in red and white) to discover the secrets of the Basque Country with its breathtaking landscapes.

The beaches of Biarritz
The Grande Plage : 100 meters from the apartment l'Impératrice, it is the main beach of Biarritz, located in front of the casino of Biarritz, it is also called the Grande Plage. It extends from the north to the south of the bay between the Hotel du Palais and the Bellevue. In the heart of the city, it offers shops, cafes and restaurants nearby.
The Miramar Beach: located 150 meters from the Impèratrice apartment, in the extension of the Grande Plage, just in front of the Miramar hotel and its thalassotherapy center.
La plage des Basques : it is located after the Rocher de la vierge and the Villa Belza. It is famous for its surf spot.
It is the cradle of European surfing, a beach with an exceptional setting overlooking the Spanish coast, framed by cliffs.
There are many surfing events.
The beach of Port Vieux : located just at the level of the Rocher de la vierge, beach in the shape of a cove sheltered from the wind and the waves. It is particularly appreciated by families all year round.
